Bridges and Crowns

At Smile Again we have a broad range of materials for highly aesthetic metal or metal free solutions. Monolithic and Layered Zirconia, standard VMK and Gold Crowns as well as our favourite:

IPS e.max Press

We feel one can get the most natural restoration possible due to the translucent nature of the lithium disilicate glass-ceramic material. It is perfectly suitable for the fabrication of:

  • Veneers, inlays, onlays
  • Anterior, posterior crowns and partial crowns
  • 3-unit bridges (up to the premolar region)
  • Hybrid abutment crowns (cemented on a Ti base)

VMK - Also known as PFM

Porcelain fused to metal. These have been a norm of the crown world for many decades and with good reason. They proved to be strong and reasonably aesthetic for front and back teeth. Long term data exists for both gold crowns and VMK making them a safe choice.

Zirconia

The material was initially intended to provide a durable and more aesthetic alternative to VMK's and gold restorations and was a popular solution for bruxers. Nowadays the new formulation improves the translucency so that they can look more natural in the mouth. It has excellent biocompatibility and low heat conductivity. It is suitable for fabrication of:

  • Single tooth up to 14-unit bridges
  • Anterior and posterior crowns
